My Strange World

Avengers – The Greatest Comic Book movie EVER

leave a comment

I mean it and I am not at all exaggerating. The Avengers, Earth’s mightiest super heroes were awesome on screen. It was one of the most awaited movies and it is well worth the wait. Dialogues and Direction by Joss Whedon will be remembered for a very long time.

Iron Man and Hulk stole the show and the rest were given equal importance and screen time. The effects as expected were top class and you cannot stop laughing in this one scene where Hulk smashes Loki. It was very satisfying to watch a movie with all the ingredients of a comic book classic. Super impressed and a must watch movie. Don’t miss it.

Looking forward for Prometheus, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight Rises in IMAX Experience. Summers looks very good..

That Song in My Head

leave a comment

There is this random song which was shared by my Facebook friend. I, happened to watch the video and I must say it wasn’t different or ground breaking or anything you might remember after 10seconds of watching. yet, It was stuck in my head for a long time(1 week and counting..).

I tried listening to a lot of stuff, like I always do to get that out of my mind but still when ever I was alone, all that I can think and hum is that song. After trying out everything , I found out that the only way you get over this is to give that “crazy spot in your brain which plays music in a loop all day” to another song.

If you are wondering what that song is, Here is the video:

See, I told you that its nothing special. But I loved the video, the moves and the beat. Things happen for no reason, don’t they? This happened to me a lot of times and the latest one that may take its spot, which I was listening even while writing this, is this song from the movie 3( Its not Kolveri Di – FYI)

After finishing this, I feel that this post makes no sense but hey, I need to say this to someone. As people won’t put up with all this crap, its better to type and leave and let the world discover the garbage. :D

P.S: I think I should post more music videos as I believe I have a good music taste.

MI4 , Rockstar and TDKR Prologue

leave a comment

The weekend was fun with two completely different movies. Finally, after so many days, I’ve watched a movie in a theatre. and I loved it.

Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol was awesome. All the gadgetry, the fast paced action and the locations.. Loved every part of the movie ( Especially the Burj Khalifa Scene in IMAX ). One of the Best Action movies I’ve seen after a long time. Good Work Brad Bird.

I’ve expected a lot from Rockstar. With all the hype and awesome music, I thought the movie will be a classic. But to my surprise the movie SUCKED big time. I like dramas. I can take the worst tragedies. But this one didn’t have the thing to take it further.I didn’t like the movie. The less we talk about the plastic DUCK faced Nargis, the better. I feel she is better off with the Kingfisher Calender.

The Dark Knight Rises Prologue blew my Mind. WOW!! Mind Blowing.. Although I’ve seen a shitty cam version of it.. Bane is going to be a very strong mean guy with brains..The Plane Hijacking is one thing that is never attempted.. Imagine a Bigger Plane Hijacking a Smaller Plane in the air..

CIA: Now whats the next STEP in your master plane?!

BANE: Crashing this plane!……..With no survivors

Can’t wait for this movie..

I can now see what is in store for us in 2012. I don’t know whether the world is going to end or not but the line up of movies for next year is pretty exciting..
The Dark Knight Rises,
Avengers,
The Hobbit,
Prometheus,
Django Unchained
Nuff Said.

Human Centipede Series – Review

leave a comment

I love GORE. Yes I do. All the blood, the chopped or sometimes hanging body parts, torture and all the over action done by the actors, cliche story lines looks so funny. Let me clarify that I am not a maniac or a psycho. I feel these moves come under comedy genre.

I stumbled upon this movie called Human Centipede recently and thought of watching it after reading all the pathetic reviews. I just wanted to see how bad it will be and trust me, It was VERY BAD. After watching the first part, I went ahead with the second part which I can say is the most DISGUSTING movie I’ve ever seen. Period.

The plots go like this. In the first movie, A mad scientist will try to attach 3 people, mouth-to-ass, to make a siamese triplet and the rest is about how he does it and what happens next. The second movie deals with a fat dwarf security guard of a parking lot who gets obsessed with the first movie and tries the same procedure on 12 people.

The first part has a lot of scenes involving blood and shit. It was shot more like a thriller and I didn’t find it so bad. Centipede 2, The full sequence has crossed every boundary of grotesque ever shown on film. Things like breaking the teeth with hammer, covering cuts with tape, stitching using stapler wee some of the normal scenes in this movie. There are a lot of moments which will make you feel like puking.

If you want to make a friend very uncomfortable, if you want to see them make strange faces or if you are completely out of your mind, watch these movies without a break. :)

Reviews – Transformers 3, Pyar ka Punchnama

leave a comment

This week had been very hectic with all the dance practice and work tensions. I chilled out on Sunday with 2 movies. Both these movies are on my must watch list from a long time.

Transformers – Dark side of the Moon

Watched it in IMAX 3D and it sure lived up to its promise as far as visuals are concerned. This time, the transformations are shown in slow-Mo in 3D which looked perfect on screen. Rosie looked hot. But there was something that was missing in this movie. The lack of character development and poor screenplay ruined the essence of the movie. Although I went to this movie expecting nothing but robots fighting among themselves, The movie somehow disappointed me in some areas like portraying Sentinal prime as the antagonist and limiting the screen space for Megatron, Shockwave, Optimus and others. I may have to watch it again to get the feel of it. Overall, it was a feast for your EYES only.

Pyar ka Punchanma

I should say that this is by far one of the most entertaining movies I’ve seen this year. Perfect casting. Perfect dialogues. Perfect acting. I can’t point out any flaws at all. Superb script by Luv Ranjan and every body in the cast did their part with ease. I am sure that every guy is going to love it and girls will like the movie only if they watch it with a lighter mind by not imagining themselves in those roles.

P.S: Harry Potter’s last part coming up soon( July 15th ). Got to see how it all ends.

Starting the Movie and TV Section – X-Men – First Class, HIMYM, Big bang Theory

leave a comment

I am a big movie buff and whenever I get time, I would like to watch as many movies as possible in the 3 languages I know – English , Telugu and Hindi. I appreciate good cinema and love to watch complex and interesting stories. My favorite genres are Comedy, Horror ( Gore included ), Thrillers, Action and like every other guy Sci-Fi, Comic book adaptations and also Animated ones.

I felt like noting down my own brief reviews of all the movies I see in here. So here I am, officially starting the MOVIE and TV SECTION on my blog.

X-Men : First Class:

This is by far the best X-Men movie ever made till now. I know some people won’t agree with me but I personally feel that it lives up to its title. It surely is a First Class effort in resurrecting the dying or rather messed up franchise by giving it a fresh feel with deep characterizations , good story and some cool special effects. Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy did a great job.

The Adjustment Beureau

Didn’t like it. After watching the trailer, I thought it will be a mediocre movie and in the end it turned out to be one. The whole point of some people ( kind of Angels ) recruited by Chairman ( God) to make things go the way they should is not so convincingly shot.

How I Met Your Mother

This is a Sitcom I started watching lately and successfully finished watching 4 seasons. Its very funny and every episode literally revolves around hook ups and break ups. The content is not so intelligent bu the the dialogues and the characters are good. I like Barney Stinson’s character so much. I consider watching this a decent way to pass 20 mins of the day.

The Big Bang Theory

Another sitcom which is about 4 geeks and a blonde. Its hilarious and interesting. Sheldon Cooper is one character who steals the show every time. His dialogues are intelligent and funny. You would enjoy it more if you are a geek or at least a semi-geek like me. It is a must watch for every one who wants to have a laugh. I completed watching 3 seasons.

P.S: Downloaded more than 50 movies which are yet to be watched by me.  So many new movies are ready to get released. So much Fun ahead.
